Describe the web data source you want to track. Agent Builder creates a governed, repeatable extraction agent, complete with human sign-off, a full audit trail, and the compliance controls your legal team will actually accept.

Here's a real example of what that looks like in practice.
Every fund that trades energy names — refiners, integrated majors, convenience-store stocks, payments exposed to gas spend — watches the same two numbers: EIA's weekly retail gasoline series and AAA's daily metro averages. Both are lagged. The market knows this.
The number that actually matters is what stations are charging right now, station by station, across roughly 13,000 ZIP codes. That data exists. It's posted publicly on consumer aggregator sites and brand-operated chain pages, updated several times a day. The delta between the live retail surface and the lagged published reference is the window that moves first.
You can subscribe to OPIS for rack prices upstream. You can read AAA with a one-day lag. What you cannot subscribe to is the live retail surface.
That's not a gasoline problem. That's the shape of dozens of research theses — where the signal exists on the open web, moves faster than any licensed feed, and has historically required an engineering sprint to operationalize.
Agent Builder changes that calculus.
The workflow is three steps. The bottleneck stops being engineering. The focus shifts to the quality of the analyst's question.
See how a data thesis becomes a governed, repeatable agent… in under 2 minutes.
Tell Claude what you want to know. It derives which sources matter, what fields each carries, and what reconciliation logic applies. The output is a specification. Not code, not a ticket to engineering.
Each source in the spec becomes a Sequentum agent. Agent Builder loads the page, generates a schema, and drafts a versioned extraction agent. You review it in the Visual Editor, set your acceptance criteria, and a named person signs off. From there it runs on schedule, the same way, every time.
Cowork calls each agent, joins the live web data against your licensed feeds, flags discrepancies, and returns the answer in natural language. The join is a prompt, not a pipeline. No engineering required to run it again tomorrow.
The question is no longer whether you can get the data. It's whether the data is admissible inside your fund. Three things define admissibility.
SOC 2 Type II certified. Federated identity via Okta, Microsoft, or Google. Role-based access, full audit trails, client-set rate limits, concurrency caps. The controls procurement needs to see before they let a new data vendor in the door.
No LLM in the data path at runtime. The agent that ran yesterday produces the same output today. When a PM asks why the number moved, the answer is in the change log, not a shrug.
Every agent change has a named owner. Change tracking lives on the data itself. When compliance asks how last Tuesday's number was sourced, you have an answer in seconds, not a support ticket.
Claude Cowork already has access to FactSet, S&P Global, Moody's, and PitchBook. Agent Builder is the open-web half of the same environment: the live retail surface, the station-level price, the signal that isn't in any licensed feed.

"The firms that win this cycle won't be the ones with the most licensed feeds. Those are the same feeds everyone else gets. The winners will be the firms whose analysts can prototype a thesis in the morning and have a governed data agent running it by end of week."
